UMC Zhahir Hospital Visitor Guidelines for Patient Care and Comfort

Family and friends form an important part of the entire recovery process of a patient. We, at UMC Zhahir Hospital, value the importance of visiting family members and friends. To allow access to the patient by the family members and at the same time, maintain protocols established for the speedy recovery of the patients admitted, we request the relatives / friends to take note of the standard guidelines in place for all visitors:

  • Visitors will be allowed to meet the patient only during the approved visiting hours. The access will be limited and allowed only to members holding the visitor pass issued by the hospital at the time of admitting the patient.
  • Visitors might be restricted according to the patient’s medical condition - as per the treating doctor’s advice.
  • Attendant and Visitor passes will be issued at the time of admission. The attendant and visitors are requested to wear these passes while in the hospital premises. In case the passes are misplaced, kindly contact the reception / help-desk for assistance.
  • Children under the age of 12 years are not allowed on patient floors. This is to protect the children from contracting infections from admitted patients.
  • Visitors will not be allowed inside the operating theatre complex and critical care units. Any access to these areas has to be pre-approved and authorized by the hospital authorities.
  • Visitors are requested to sanitize their hands before and after visiting the patients.
  • Visitors are requested to ensure cleanliness within hospital premises.
  • Visitors are requested to keep their mobile phones on silent mode while in the hospital premises. This is to ensure that the admitted patients are not disturbed.

At UMC Zhahir Hospital, we value concerns of the families of our patients and try our best to make them feel comfortable and at home. In case of any queries or to know more, please feel free to contact us.
